18U Registration
Prior to registering, you will need a Crossbar account. This account should be created with the PARENT/GUARDIAN's information. You will have an opportunity to create an account once you begin the registration process.
For detailed instructions, see "Getting Started with Crossbar" under the RESOURCES tab.
Ages
This registration is only for players who are 18U age-eligible for the 2025-2026 season. Players must have a birthdate of 9/1/2006 or later.
When
The season begins with tryouts in August and runs through the following summer.
During the month of December, practices and games are limited to the beginning of the month for 12U & 14U teams. 16U & 18U teams normally take the month of December off.
The dark/high school season (18U, 16U and freshman-aged 14U players) runs from (approximately) mid-February through mid-May. During that time period, high school-aged teams will practice twice per month.
Where
Practices are primarily held in Simi Valley. We will occasionally use fields in Moorpark.
Games will be played locally; in the greater Southern California area; as well as in other states. Older teams tend to travel further for college showcasing purposes.
Each team will also compete in an end-of-season national event, which may be in Southern California or may be in any state in the country. As a general rule, we try not to travel long distances for tournaments, but will travel longer distances for college showcasing purposes.
Practices
Teams practice on weekends. We believe weekdays should be reserved for school, homework and private lessons.
During the summer months (especially leading up to nationals), teams may practice during the week.
Games
During the 6 recruiting weekends prior to Thanksgiving,16U/18U teams will participate in showcases, including in Arizona, Nevada and/or other states.
If possible, teams will also attend qualifiers with the intent of qualifying for Nationals (PGF, Alliance, USA, etc.)
During the summer (mid-May through July), 16U/18U teams will compete in national qualifiers, showcases and one national event.
UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT
All uniforms and equipment must be purchased by each player.
Jerseys and equipment bags are ordered by the coaching staff.
Players are responsible to order the correct helmet.
All other items (visors, practice shirts, player's jackets, etc.) are purchased directly by the player at the California Print Company in Chatsworth, CA.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
Each team's dues are based on the total expenses each team will incur throughout the season. While no coaches are paid in the CASE Batbusters Organization, non-parent coaches' expenses are paid or reimbursed. Some of the factors that determine monthly dues are: practice fields; the number of events the team will be attending throughout the season; coach travelling expenses (hotels/airfare) and equipment needs.
When travelling (events requiring players to stay in a hotel), teams utilize team travel (team flights, team vans, team hotels).
In addition to regular dues, players will also be responsible to pay for team vans and team flights (if scheduled) as well as hotel costs. Team rooms (3-4 players per room) are optional and a great way for families to save money. Players staying in team rooms is HIGHLY recommended for team cohesion and individual growth and preparation for college.
When we have team hotel rooms, players are supervised by female parents/guardians as chaperones while inside the hotel.
2025-2026
This registration is to tryout for the team. Once a player is selected, they will be sent an official offer to join the CASE Batbusters Organization.
