Recruiting 101

Do you (or your daughter) want to play softball in college? While the sport of softball has grown tremendously, too many players (and parents) go through years of travel ball without ever being educated or guided through the recruiting process.

After attending this class, you will have a good understanding of how the recruiting process works; how to find the RIGHT college and softball program for you; how to get recruited and the realities of scholarships.

When registering, you will first need to have/create a Crossbar account. After logging-in to your Crossbar account, you will then be able to register for the class.

Is there a fee for the class?

No.

Why don't you charge a fee?

CASE Batbusters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth sports organization. We provide this class as a service to the local girls fastpitch softball community.

Why is the location private?

The class is held at a private theater that is not open to the general public. There is also limited parking.

What should I bring?

Bring note taking materials. We also recommend bringing a phone or laptop with internet access. There are internet links provided during the presentation that are important and should be saved for future use.

You can bring in drinks. But, please use a closed container (bottle, hydro, etc.). Please do not bring disposable cups with straws/lids that could spill if dropped.

Who is teaching the class?

Scott Barker is the main presenter. Coach Scott has been coaching girls fastpitch softball since 2006 and has been running the CASE Batbusters Organization since 2012.

He has personally been involved in sending more than 70 players off to play softball in college. CASE Batbusters has been sending players off to college since 1989.
